POCKET KANTELE

A small (“pocket”) 5-string kantele which was produced with the help of the traditional technology is made from the whole-piece of spruce and is covered with wax mastic. Such an instrument is marvelous as a souvenir – the kantele with a scroll in the form of a bird’s head has a small strap so that it’s possible to hang it on the wall. However, that’s not only the souvenir but also a real instrument that sounds! You can play simple melodies or accompany your own singing. Its pitch is G-A-H-C-D. Dimensions - 26 х 6,5 х 2,2 cm

A 10-string kantele is also made with the help of the traditional technology but it looks more modern than a 5-string kantele. Its base is made from spruce, pins - from brass. Dimensions - 34,5 х 12 х 2,2 sm

A book for self-instruction is enclosed to all the instruments in order to give you a helping hand in learning to play your first kantele. Inside each kantele you’ll see the label of our Kantele National Instrument Workshop and master Alexander Frolov.
